A Little More About Us

Park Avenue Baptist Church was founded with the goal of connecting people with God and provides a learning environment that not only challenges but encourages all who attend. We are a church FULL of people growing and changing but none of us are perfect. We all have our flaws and blindnesses, but we are learning to love and accept each other as we are; after all, that’s how God loves and accepts us. Our doors are open and on the other side you will find encouragement, growth and acceptance. If you need directions or have questions about our church see below. We hope to see you in person soon!

I have never been to church before. Am I welcome?

A

Yes!  What you won’t find at PABC are bouncers at the door doing religious checks. What you will experience is an open door where you are always welcome no matter your situation or season of life.

If it's my first time where do I go once on campus?

A

You will be welcomed by a parking team followed by greeters in the lobbies that can answer any questions you might have.
There is also an area called the Launchpad in the  sanctuary where any additional questions about the church can be asked after the service.

What do I need to wear? 

A

This is simple: Come as you are, how you are. You will see everything from a traditional suit to shorts and a T-Shirt.

What kind of music can I expect? 

A

Here at Park Avenue Baptist Church, our worship is best described as “Convergent Worship”. Convergent Worship strives to break down the barriers that have been created over time that divide the church into expressions such as traditional, contemporary, blended, modern, emergent, etc. We believe the worship in the church should not be defined by a certain style but rather be a reflection of what Christ has called it to be in His Kingdom. Convergent Worship is focused on bringing multiple styles, eras and expressions of music and the arts that will best provide an environment for those to participate and encounter the love and person of God, experience His presence and power, and embrace His purposes for our lives.

How long is the Sunday service? 

A

Our services typically run around 75 minutes.

Do you have services or groups that meet during the week?

Why yes we do! No matter your age or what you are interested in, we have groups that meet during the week that are always looking for new faces. Check out our “Ministries” page and “Get Involved” for more info.
