Resurrection Sunday
Apr 5, 2026 • Dennis Taylor
In week two of the series “The Gift of the Cross,” we look at the resurrection story. When Jesus was laid in the tomb, it seemed like all hope was lost. The disciples were broken, afraid, and unsure of what would come next. But everything changed when they saw the empty tomb; Jesus had risen.
Because of the resurrection, we don’t serve a distant or defeated Savior; we serve a risen King who is alive, active, and powerful. His victory over the grave gives us hope, guarantees our eternal life, and offers us a transformed life right now.
No matter what you’re facing, pain, confusion, or discouragement, the empty tomb reminds us that Jesus has already overcome it all. In Christ, we are made new. In Christ, we are victorious.
