THE GIFT OF THE CROSS

This Easter season, we invite our community to reflect on the greatest gift ever given, the gift of the cross. Because the tomb is empty, hope is alive, and the invitation is open for everyone. At Park Avenue Baptist Church, Easter is more than a Sunday service. It’s a season where we make room for one more to experience the grace and love of Jesus. In the week leading up to Easter, families will take part in the Walk With Christ to the Cross experience, an interactive journey that helps us reflect on the path Jesus walked to the cross and the sacrifice He made for us. We will then gather for a meaningful Good Friday service to remember the cost of that sacrifice, and celebrate together on Easter Sunday as we rejoice in the victory and new life made possible through our risen Savior.

Join us on March 29th at 10:00 AM for Palm Sunday as we begin a new sermon series and remember Jesus’ triumphal entry, starting the journey toward the cross and the empty tomb.
Join us on April 3rd at 6:00 PM for our Good Friday Worship Service at Park Avenue. Together, we will reflect on the profound sacrifice of Jesus and the power of the cross through a meaningful time of worship and reflection. This will be a powerful evening as we pause to remember the love and grace shown through Christ’s sacrifice.
Join us on April 5th at 10:00 AM for Resurrection Sunday at Park Avenue as we celebrate our risen Lord. It will be a powerful morning of worship as we rejoice in the hope, victory, and new life found in Jesus. Invite your friends and neighbors to experience the joy of our resurrected Savior. We are praying for the Holy Spirit to move and for lives to be changed.
Experience the journey of Jesus to the cross firsthand on April 1st - 3rd in the Recreation Building Gymnasium. Through hands-on interactive stations, you will walk alongside Christ, understanding the depth of His sacrifice and the graphic portrayal of our Messiah’s suffering. This year, we have included a special Children's Experience geared toward school-aged children alongside the stations. Join us as we take up our crosses and walk with Christ, preparing our hearts for the Good Friday Worship Service to follow. The experience takes on average, 45 minutes to go through, and you are welcome to take a longer or shorter time to experience it.
