Golden Years

Our vision at Park Avenue Baptist Church (PABC) is to celebrate with those who are 50 and older. Our ministry is to provide a special time of fellowship and celebration. Leviticus 25:10 “And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, … it shall be a JUBILEE unto you….” 12 “For it is (the years of) JUBILEE; it shall be holy unto you….”

Our goal is to reach out to folks of Northern Brevard and the surrounding areas. Attendance at our activities does not require membership of PABC. Our programs are designed as an outreach ministry and open to all reaching their year of Jubilee and beyond desiring to attend.

 

Regular Programs

Jet Set Lunches
Every 3rd Thursday 11:00 am.
You need to make reservation by the Monday prior to the 3rd Thursday. In addition if you would like to be called to remind you of the upcoming program. Please call Sabrina Bortree @ 264-7012. or the CHURCH OFFICE @ 269-6702.

Tuesday Activities
Every Tuesday 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
We have fellowship with games & activities including a potluck luncheon on the first Tuesday of the month, from Noon till 3:00 p.m. at Ashkelon hall.

Monthly Trips
Monthly Trips to various activities, including dinner theaters, special shows, and performances that have interest to folks in their golden years. We normally obtain discount rates and provide transportation giving the participants a low cost and special time of fellowship.

 

Ministry Opportunities

Tuesdays:

  • Have fellowship and enjoy with those in attendance.
  • Provide transportation to/from Ashkelon for those in need.
  • Helping set up and put away items needed for programs.
  • Serve as a prayer partner and encourage those in attendance.

3rd Thursday (September through May):

  • Serve on phone ministry program.
  • Provide transportation to/from PABC for those in need.
  • Helping set up and put away items needed for programs.
  • Serve as a pray partner and encourage those in attendance.
  • Welcoming guest as they arrive.

Serve on GY Team:

  • Serve on a committee to improve present programs.
  • Serve on a committee to develop new programs.
  • Serve on Newsletter committee.
